This maraschino wool sweater was picked up by a neighbor in a bag sale at a local thrift store. Great find! It didn’t fit her and came to my daughter who wore it a number of times. It quickly became her favorite sweater but we’re not a “care for it” kind of family and so the sweater ended up in the wash with everything else. This worked out the first couple of times but after forth wash it came out of the dryer half the size. While we were sad to loose the pretty sweater we knew right away not to throw away the material and it went in the ‘do over’ pile. This morning, while listening to online church, I sewed it up into a super soft pair of mittens. A couple of hours of work while I was doing something else anyway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t throw out your stuff. A lot of ‘ruined’ things can be made into something new with little effort – and not end up in the landfill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
